Just scored an amazing AMAZING deal on a non master volume Monza 1x10 with the Red Fang and the brake lite. Without a master volume this amp kicks like a mule right in the man gender area...and the Red Fang doesn't soften the blow any. That leads me to say just how amazingly beautiful the clean chime ladened the clean tones are with this beast. The Monza really is a sweet treat that I've missed since the first one was sent packing...it's good to be MONZA-ING again. It's on the left in its new family...

If you can tame that Monza withOUT the master volume, well then sir you've got more stuff in the "man gender area" than me because it's a beast, for sure. Isn't it a fun amp, though?

YAY!!!!! I think I had my eye on that one if it was from e-bay--was thinking about adding power scaling to it, just 'cause. If it was the e-bay one, it WAS a heck of a deal and congrats. Welcome back. Are you going to add the PPIMV? I had 1 that came with it from the factory, and my present 1 with the PPIMV. To MY ears, the retrofit sounds slightly different (better).
Did you dispense with your Ghia 25th?

I really already thought it, but now, I KNOW it...... I've been "too long in the wasteland" without a MONZA."

If you can tame that Monza withOUT the master volume..... The brake lite doesn't really quite do it with this amp. Certainly not like the MV. I don't mind but the neighbors might get tired of me playing all day

Did you dispense with your Ghia 25th? Yep I am Ghia-less for now... I'd like to have the master volume done by the Doc himself if I do have it done, or at least at the shop...it was a local thing not in eBay...though I did get a red hot poker of a deal.

YUP, have the shop do it, they did mine. I bought it new old stock from a dealer who shipped it to the shop. I had it placed in the back because I just like the front with 3 knobs and the words "Monza" as well as "Z Amp" Silly, huh, but I prefer it that way

I just really clicked with the Monza again today and remembered what I love best about it it accompanying another amplifier in tandem backing it up... making it's notes sing...ring...hum...roar ....what ever you want at the tip of your fingers. I forgot how much it feels like "my" sound....let the other amp have delay and just run the Monza straight, hot, smokey...sexy.
Man this amps sings effortlessly.

I really already thought it, but now, I KNOW it...... I've been "too long in the wasteland" without a MONZA." If you are referencing the James McMurtry song/album,that is a great one.been listening to it regularly for almost 30 yrs, BTW that current avatar with the white SG is a great looking gtr.
