Any lovers? Haters?
As much as I would love a classic American semi hollowbody with a Bigsby, it's just not in the cards right now. I know Joe Naylor has a good reputation, and this brand seems to get high marks?
By the way, I don't expect the guitar to sound anything like the way it does when Greg Koch plays it!

One of our local shops carries the Reverend line and I have had the pleasure of playing a few of the different models and their variations.
The build quality, fit and finish have all been really good on the ones I've played. I understand they are made in Korea but set up here in the States with American (or some American) parts.
Another hollowbody option is the Pete Anderson...Really cool gretsch meets ES vibe.

I haven't tried the TG sig, but I have a 15th Anni Flatroc and an older Vector.
Both well built guitars, setup right out of the box.
Any Reverend is worth a look at, imo.

Reverend guitars are a great value! Brent (former sales mgr. for Dr. Z) carries them at his store in Cleveland, guitarriot.com and If Brent carries them, they are cool.
Check 'Em out! Eddie

Had a Warhawk 1 and now have a Volcano, both were/are good guitars.I find the bass contour knob useful.

A serious lover here. They are a great company that keeps growing (local to me in the Detroit area) and offer pretty much something to all types of players/styles. Yes the stuff is built in Korea and setup and refined in MI, but play better than most US production stuff. I cannot say enough about the build quality of these instruments. The body shapes may not be for everyone, but everything Reverend incorporates in their designs makes sense, and maximizes the playing potential of their instrument. Graphite nuts, locking tuners, dual action truss rods, roller trees are standard equipment. The bass contour is very usable for dialing a variety of tones out of pickups. The tuning stability on mine are incredible too when using my Wilky Trem(s). I own 2 different models the Jetstream 390 and the Gil Parris II, and once upon a time the Eastsider T with rosewood board. My Reverends are the only instruments where I have never had to upgrade any components. They are all I bring to gigs anymore, and hold up to the occasion every time. I sold a 57 Hot Rod Strat because my Jetstream was more of a joy to play. On 57 the Hot Rod Strat, I ended up replacing all the hardware, pickups, went out of tune horribly when using the trem, and pretty much felt like a cheap toy in comparison with my Jetstream 390. After replacing all that stuff, I was still unhappy with my Fender (and it wasn't a cheap guitar either) so I sold it. The standard fare Fender stuff just aren't very functional to me anymore. Reverend's customer service is top notch too. I can email Ken Haas and Joe Naylor via the Reverend discussion board and have my questions asked promptly. Enough gushing about their products. Great Stuff if you get a chance to try instruments in their line.

I've been really digging these guitars visually since this thread went up. I believe Dean Zelinsky's new guitars are built the same way... factory in korea and then fit/finished by his techs in chicago. by only selling direct, he holds his prices way down to a similar price range as these Reverands. The Dean i played was absolutely remarkable for a guitar in that price range. Sounds like dgabbear has confirmed that they play as well as they look. hmmm.... how many Reverends can i buy for what i can sell my Gibson R8 for?
