Congrats! There's a chance mine will arrive tomorrow (Friday). Excellent! I wish I didn't have to leave mine for 10 days. BTW, if you pre-ordered a cover from Susan it probably won't fit. Mine misses being wide enough by at least an inch and a half, maybe a little more.

Sweet looking amp for sure. Hoping to hear one in person soon...unfortunately won't be at my home unless I sell a few things...

This wasn't Susan's fault , we had the wrong measurement on our website. Spoke and apologized to Susan , now correct measurement is up on the site now.

How does it compare to your Maz? I love my Maz and just wondering if I need this one too.

I am interested too in hearing how it compares to the Maz. I am really wanting to try this Z Lux and learning how this takes pedals.

How does it compare to your Maz? I love my Maz and just wondering if I need this one too. I've only had less than a day with the amp now, so take this for what it's worth. But to me it accomplishes it's design objective in sounding much more American that the Maz Jr. Even if you roll the mids all the way off on the Maz, to me the Z-Lux still sounds more scooped even with the tone controls dialed up. Also, if this makes sense, the Z-Lux seems to "sparkle" where the Maz to me has that characteristic "chime". That may be real, or just psychological because I know what the output tubes are in each amp. But anyhow, it sounds that way to me. And keep in mind that this is playing at home volume for just a short time. I agree with this description. The Z-Lux might have a little bump -- or maybe the MAZ has a little dip -- in the upper midrange, bordering on the highs. The MAZ's EL84s give a more compressed or squashed flavor to notes -- quite pleasing, to be sure -- whereas the Z-Lux has more bloom. I do think Doc did a nice job adjusting the boost function. The MAZ is harder to dial in if you want to use the amp in both modes (bypassed or not) at a session.
