www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=817668Here's a cut I did with an old band about 2 years ago... we covered the Electric Flag's cover of Killing Floor. The lead is my 2002 Les Paul classic straight into my 1998 MAZ-38 Invasion w/ reverb. Covering Bloomfield is as intimidating as trying to cover Hendrix or SRV. I ended up just doing my own thing but keeping some of his signature licks. There's a great horn solo later in the song as well.

COOL!! Nice version. Gotta love the horns too!
Electric Flag... Bloomfield was great!
PM me your mailing address and I'll send you a Mike Bloomfield and Friends concert with Nick Gravenites and John Kahn from the Fillmore West in 1969. They opened for Chuck Berry.
Also the first 5 Z-Talk folks to PM me with your mailing info I will send the same Bloomfield and Friends show to you! It may take a couple of week, but I do get them all out.

definitely, playing with horns is fantastic. love the full sound on stage with the horns.... especially the bari-sax. i also like playing live with horns because there are more soloists .... which is a nice break for the lead guitarist when you're playing a 4-set night in a bar.

I love playing with horns when they are playing a rest. Nice clip though - very cool guitar sounds!
