I don't post here often as I should, but I just made some video clips of my Rt.66 Here's a starter: Other gear used in the clips: Reverend Jetstream 390, Menatone Red Snapper (original version), and a Weber Mini Mass (opened slightly less than half way). My crappy camera mic loses a bit of bottom end, but you get the general idea with these clips. Something about the P90's I really like...raunchy, dynamic, spanky. The guitar is a good fit for the Rt.66.

Hey Beckanon,
_Very_ nice overdrive tone going on in this! I agree with you that the P90's are a good match. Very complex.
Great job, Eddie

Wow, that's the first time I've heard P90's with the Route 66. I really love P-90 pickups for old school rock. Les paul TV's are on of my favourite guitars, I'd love to hear one through the Route 66.
Thanks for posting, loved that tone!

Thanks guys.
Groover -- that's one of the reasons I decided to do these clips. I hadn't seen any P90/Route66 clips either.
Plus, you just can't have enough Rt.66 clips out there!

Great tones! Thanks for the clips of the Route 66.
The Reverends have always appealed to me for the $. Those are the stock Reverend P-90's correct?

Great tones... can you give us some more info on the tone and volume settings on your guitar and amp? How loud was this in the room when you were playing? It looks like a 2x12 set up.

Yes, they are the stock P90s. I would say the Rev. Jetstream 390 is a great value of a guitar. I couldn't say how it would compare with the higher end luthier guitars being made today, but is a great alternative to the middle priced guitars out there. Very solid build...the neck is the best part,,,great fret work. I should maybe replace the plastic black nut.

I'd definitely recommend replacing that nut. A real bone nut will improve your tone by 100%. Is the Jetstream 390 a solid body or does it have tone chambers?

My Jetstream390 has a mahogany body with tone chambers and a spruce top. That config. got phased out this past year. The Jestreams are now all Korina solid bodies.

I added some Tele clips to my Youtube channel. I hope to add some clips of pedals in the near future. I hope the way I'm demo-ing the equipment is helpful. I'm open to suggestions. www.youtube.com/beckanon

Thanks guys. Hopefully more Route66 users will post their clips up there too.
Next thing I'll do is demo pedals more specifically with the Route66. There's already some Red Snapper up there...but I'd like to show the range some pedals are capable of.
