I just bought one of these handheld Zoom H2 recorders to record my band's practices and gigs, and I thought I'd give it a shot with my Mazerati head, 1x12 V30, and strat. My settings were Maz Vol 12:00-3:00, Tone 1:00, Airbrake on 4 for the neighbors, CS strat straight in. I set the H2 on a table in the middle of the room and just hit record and noodled for a minute, just some blues runs. I tried to give some examples of different tones you can get out of the Mazerati by running through the pickup selections and varying pick attack. taytay.wood.googlepages.com/Mazerati.mp3My first impressions of the Zoom H2 are very good. I think I'll record/post some of my Z-28 and RxES (coming in tomorrow!) as well.

I'm impressed what the little box can do. Now I'm anxious for you to post a song. You've got a lot of good blues chops.

Taylor, great playing and tone. Let me know when you get my ex...I miss her already! Paul Yeah, it's sitting here in the box waiting for me to get off work... I'll try to post some clips of it here soon. If I like it a lot more than the Mazerati, I may get rid of the Maz simply because I don't need that many amps.

I remember those tones from when I had my Mazerati. Nice! Thanks for the clip!

+1 karma for you for taking the time to post those clips.
I'm really impressed, those tones are really nice and clean, I've never been a big fan of the Zoom stuff but it's really bringing out lots of lovely tonal qualities that all you Mazerati players rave about.
Once again thanks, I'm impressed.
