I went up to Smoky Mountain Guitars in Pigeon Forge, Tenn Friday to check out an Altman deep body OM.....I liked it, but it didn't speak to me. This little Collings did! Sweet little 02HG....Rosewood back and sides...and a German spruce top. Lively little critter. Great for couch picking and travel. Bet it will record great too. It's 2 sizes smaller than a OM and the smallest Collings with the exception of the Collings Baby model. This is also actually a NOS guitar. A 2008. The guitar was lost in the store room after a move and was noticed not long ago. I like the fact it is already 7 years old, but never played to amount to anything. It really came to life after I got it home, did my "treatment" to it with new strings. Still really enjoying my acoustics, but back to my electrics and Z amps too.

She's a beauty. Unlike you, I've been on an acoustic kick lately.

Wow--what a little beauty! Congrats, Mark. You know, when I went down to La Crosse to pick up my new R8 last week, I played a few Collingses just for grins--there was a new CW hanging on the wall that just about blew my ears off. HUGE sounding acoustic. If I'd had three or four more guitars to trade, I'd have brought her home!

What a beauty, congratulations! Collings guitars are the one I look closer and closer these days. The 0002H would be my choice right now. Actually, it could be in the next few years.

All this talk of Collings on this board makes me want an I-35 so bad. I just can't swing it right now. GAS is so evil.

Very nice Mark. Does that make three Collings acoustics now?

Very nice Mark. Does that make three Collings acoustics now? Dang Steve!...You keep good count of my Collings! You are correct. Love 'em all! All have a very different sound and vibe. All three have different uses.

^^^^ Those I-35's DO INDEED have a punky (sometimes rude) way of making their presence known!
