Just figured out how to do this, with the help of jgleaton. These are demos that I did with Kentucky Myle back in 2006. I will warn you, that the timing is off, big time. The bass player was always behind the drummer, which is one of the reasons that I left the band, but there was a little bit of magic going on in this band. These clips do highlight the flexibility of the Carmen Ghia though. On this first one, all guitars were done with my black '88 American Tele through my Ghia combo with a C Blue. Have to say, that it sounded better in the booth compared to what the engineer got down. (He never recorded a country band before! ) media.putfile.com/Don-Carr-with-Kentucky-MyleThis is a Sugarland cover of Just Might. I did the acoustic parts with an 1997 Ovation Collector's Edition acoustic, and the electric work on a 30 yr old Gibson Goldtop thru the Ghia combo. I'm backing the singer on vocals also. media.putfile.com/Just-MightThis is another Gretchen cover. Since we didn't have a fiddle player, I had to cop the fiddle solo note for note. It actually sounded great thru the Ghia. media.putfile.com/Red-Neck-Woman

I have to say these songs sounded great. I just played a ghia with a single celestion blue, and absolutely loved it. I might purchase it. I must ask though, did you use any pedals to boost the amp on the red neck woman violin solo? Did you use any pedals on the other tracks?? ~G

Nice playing Don. Too bad that the band didn't work out for you cause it sounds pudy good to me. Nice tones in all of the tunes, I especially liked the smooth LP tones! ;D

Great guitar!
Ya' know - the band was still ten times better than most I hear and one-hundred times better than anything I've ever done.
Loved the vocals too.
