I am getting rid of my Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb RI in order to get a EZG-50. Nothing wrong with the Fender when playing indoors on a small stage. But for playing at parks outdoors, the larger clean EZG-50 2 X12 cabinet I think would be ideal.
Here is where I start vacillating; not sure what I want or need and having difficulty with a succinct question (s) Sorry...
I was set on the idea EZG-50 head and a 2 x12 cabinet. Then I began having second thoughts and thinking about the smaller stage setting: perhaps the EZG-50 combo for those times and get a 1x12 cabinet to play outside with combo. This might also be easier on my aging back..
Then I was thinking the EZG-50 head 2x12 cabinet and Airbrake and be done.
Any thoughts or comments , please !

Get the head and a couple of cabs. Bag the Airbrake. Easiest on the back and the most flexibility. Even the head is a heavy mother. My two cents.

You might also want to take a listen to the ZLux when it comes out if you like the Deluxe Reverb tones - it will come in a lightweight combo with a 1x12. Great sounds!

Definitely prefer the head / cab option.... The perfect combination for me is:
EZG-50 head with RCA NOS AX7 Tubes in V1 and V3 Fryette Powerstation for attenuation StoneAge 1x12 cabinet with broken in EVM12L

You may be humored that I had to google some of your post to know what you were talking about.

What is the ZLux of which you speak.?? The Zlux will be the "reissue" of JAZ 20/40 only tweaked a bit. Think of the EZG 50 as a Black-face Super Reverb. Think of the ZLux as a Black-face Deluxe Reverb. It will initially be released as a lightweight (42 pounds) 1x12 combo with a Doc designed Eminence built speaker. Features include lush reverb, instant-on tremolo, 20/40 watts interchangeable, and an EQ bypass for a lead boost. Should be out in the next month or so. Mine's on order
