Here's me trying to cover a Robben Ford tune. I used much simpler chords and playing, but gave it a try. Used my 335 RI, and OCD Ver3, and a Maz Sr. set up with a pretty flat EQ. www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=778535&content=musicI just added a couple more tunes to the page, so the one above is "Me and My Woman".

Good job. You can definitely hear the tone in there.

Great playing and tone. I love 335s. All the tracks are nice. Killer rhythm section too.

Really enjoyed the sound and the playing. If I could only play like Robben.
I've got an OCD on the way...just makes me feel better about the purchase.

If only I could play like some of the guys arond here!!! BTW. The OCD was set to LP and the tone was turned up kinda high with the gain pretty low, and the amp was dead clean.

Sounds great, I can hear the Ford influence, but bring the guitar UP!

On the other songs they were all an EC Strat through either an old original POD direct (Tin Pan Alley), or the clean channel of a Glaswerks 100 watter feeding a 2X12 cab with Heritage G12-65's. The amp didn't matter much on those songs because it was set up very clean. I used the OCD again on "Too Rolling Stoned" set to HP this time, and a Fulltone Soulbender on "Everyday".
I've since sold the Glaswerks, and traded the Maz Sr. I now have two Jr 2X10 combos and a Z-28 with a Convertible 2X10 cab! The Glaswerks was an incredible amp with monster versatility, but I just felt more at home with the Z in many ways. I was able to sell the Glaswerks at a nice profit, and buy some more Z's. ;D

Nice cover of Ford's tune. Even your vocals sound like Robben. Really enjoyed it.

yeah.. nice work. the vocals are rather uncanny. i saw Robben a few months back and he sounded great with a gold-top LP a boutique fuzz tone and Fender Super Reverb.

Funny thing. I've been hearing that comment about my singing...that it sounds a little like Ford's. My wife hates Robben's voice. LOL!

Man, that is just some awesome playing and tone and SINGING, too!
Of course, if guys as good as you aren't making it big, that leaves me with little hope.
Just a phenomenal clip!
Thanks for posting it.
