Thanks to someone here at z talk who planted the seed... I really like that it's made with real Honduran Mahogany, eastern Maple top, and Brazilian board. I tried to get it without pickups but no dice, it will probably end up with Throbaks. It's the last one on this page REM58 www.corsaguitars.com/corsa-guitars/order-a-manalishi/The top is not too stupid and I really like the mineral streaks. It's gonna be cherry burst with cherry back. Can't wait to see how it pops with some color. Hopefully have it the end of April just in time for summer gigs.

^^^^^^^^^ That would be me. Had my Manalishi for just about a year now and still chuffed to bits every time I pick it up and plug in. You won't be disappointed on any angle as fantastic guitar,I am now moving my R8 on, and Larry is very informative all the way through the build and a gentleman. I like the pickups but glad I went for a push push on the out of phase so I have the normal both on tones as well. I think you need to give his pickups a chance first off as it really depends what amp you are going through and they certainly have some balls but useable all the way through the volume and tone control range. They certainly don't sound as bright as his demos suggest through his fender amp. Did you go for full gloss or the standard finish?

I would do bad things to get one of those "dirty lemon" bursts...

Glad you went for the gloss as that would be the only thing I would have changed. Now mine has fully cured I have given it a polish so it's not quite a full heavy gloss but has a nice sheen to it. The original non gloss top feels very rough and "woody" to the touch and the sheen on it now makes the maple change more with the angle and the light.

You won't believe it when you open the case and see it in the flesh! Larrys pictures/photographs do his guitars no justice at all . Mine is 056 look at the pictures in his gallery then look at my avatar and it's still lighter in colour than that. it looks just like I asked which is like the skinner burst.

Nice. I notice Larry has a new look website along with a couple of prototypes of a new model for sale.

Took this the other day of mine in bright sunlight which gives a better representation of its true colour as opposed to my Avatar picture. Nothing like Larrys original pictures.

Nice ......love the mineral streaks. Larry seems to have a knack for picking maple tops with them. As I stated before wait until you see it in the flesh!!!

Every time I feel settled with my guitars a thread like this has to start. Man that's nice.
