I have a Teese RMC10 coming in this week and was wondering what most of you are doing with your wah pedals. My guitar first goes into my tuner then onto my other effects. Was thinking of mounting the wah on the pedalboard directly after the tuner. Be advised that I have a Voodoo Labs ISO5 directly under the board and was wondering if it will cause any interference on the wah pedal. Heard they can be temperamental at times.
It's either this setup or just run off to the side before going into the tuner. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks in advance.

I have a teese RMC4 picture wah. I have mine on my board. I actually run mine first before the tuner and that was on the advice from Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Ive not had any problems at all. Im interested in hearing your thoughts on the RMC perfect 10 after you get it as Ive been contemplating on buying one myself

I have a sneaking suspicion that Kenny Wayne Shepherd has just a tad more expertise than me.

Bloozeman I like the 10. To me it has an older edge to it so it's perfect for me with the older sounding wah songs. The 4 is great to but the 10 did what I wanted and that may not be what you are after. They are pretty close but the 10 just edged it out. If I had a 4 I might keep it because I don't think the difference is worth getting a new one. It may be a big difference to you though.

I use a Fulltone Clyde, and it seems to want to hum when nearing my pedal power mounted under the pedal train board. So it sits off to one side. I would prefer it on the board. That way it takes up space and stops me from wanting to add more pedals.

^^^^ I have a Clyde as well and since I don't use it much on Sundays it stays off the board, but when I do use it is first - before tuner or volume pedal.

Thanks for the advice gang. I am going to move my power source to the other side and put the wah on the far right side for isolation. Never knew how much fun pedals can be.

On the board, first thing I plug in to. If your tuner has a bypass (like a TU-2)it keeps it out of the signal path for the most part.

I have a Teese Picture Wah as well. Pedals are powered by a couple of Voodoo Labs power supply's under the board. No interference problems at all.
My set-up goes from wireless -> True Bypass Tuner ->Fuzz -> wah -> compulator compressor and on..
I've been using this config for a few years now and everything is "A O-Tay"...
Not the most current pic but or configuration but only then names have changed to protect the innocent... [

I like the wah separate, on the floor.. just feels a little better down there. But it won't travel as well (which I don't do much of, so it doesn't really matter).

I think the key is to have the wah on the board so I always have access to it. My thinking is to use the wah as just a set tone filter at times. Can really make a lead cut in the mix.

My Budda wah is the first thing I'm plugged into when I use it, but I don't use it for every gig, so it is separate from everything else that is integrated onto one board. As Mark mentioned, it also feel's better on the floor since one has to be in a step-up position to use it....on the board feels a little too high to me.

I have a Fulltone Clyde Standard - on the board and powered by a PedalPower 2+.
It used to be first in line after the guitar, but now I have a dedicated buffer first with the Clyde second.
No problems at all.

My wah is directly to the right of my Pedaltrain Jr. Mostly because there's not enough room to put it on the board!

My Crybaby is on the board right after the Shure wireless, which has a built-in tuner. I use a Pedaltrain Jr.

I have a Clyde Deluxe, I love it but you're right it takes up a space, weekly I consider taking it off my board then I play it and it stays. Also it a great foot ready at the least...an expensive one but great, haha!!

Bonamassa Cry Baby on the floor to the LEFT of the board because I'm left footed (which is a pain: because I have my board/pedals set up left to right)....maybe I should reverse it?

Doesn't really matter to me. On the board. Off the board. Depends on the effects I am using. Some pedals just don't play well together. Other times I need to get off the stage quickly. So a mounted wah works best for those situations.

So, tried it both ways and I like my wah on the floor. Since I have a Pedaltrain Jr. and it is 3/4 full capacity I think I'll make a flat plywood board to get my wah nice and low and it gives me an excuse to get a couple more pedals

DC here! If you want to do more fancy things with pics - without paying the license fee to Adobe for Photoshop. You have good free alternative in GIMP. GIMP does perhaps not have all the bells and whistles of Photoshop - but its a good solid program. Certaunly good enough for an amateur like me. I actually have GIMP installed on my work PC-laptop although we also have Photoshop avaliable here at my dept. Cheers: Dixiechicken!
