Never guess what it was, go ahead guess, betchya can't smartypants, go ahead lol . Your never gonna believe this, it was............... wait for it................ wait for it. MY CELL PHONE , yep you read that right, my cell phone, Shut The Front Door. Never would have thought of it. But thanks to fellow Z-talk member headshrinker (Marc) who gave me other options to try i.e. different outlet, different speaker, clean signal path, cell phone off..... what ? Yep that was the problem all along, my cell phone signal was being picked up by the reverb unit somehow lol. SOOOO anyone having weird alien noises emitting from their reverb unit, before you do ANYTHING else, shut off your cell phone lol. Marc, your a life saver bro, thank you kindly, and also thanks to EVERYONE who commented and offered me advice on solving the issue, I sincerely do appreciate all of you guys.

"Hello? Is this Mom? It sounds like you're in a huge cave! What's that? No. I don't think I can make it for Thanksgiving this year, but we'll all be together for Christmas."
Glad you got it sorted! Eddie

Often had odd intermittent noises that have been linked to cell phone searching signals or getting messages. Didn't think of this while reading the thread. Believed it was a more generic amp circuit noise. Glad you got to the bottom of it. ME

Yeah, we should put that in a FAQ since it has come up here so many times!

I'm glad you didn't need the sledge hammer. I've heard the clock in a cell phone come thru my amp before .... cell phone was not what I expected either but it makes total sense.

lol@simpleton, I was ordering 3 more tubes, the rectifier tube and a sledgehammer lol, saved me some money on shipping, sledgehammers are heavy lol. Yeah I couldn't believe it myself, that it could be a cell phone wreaking all that havoc, but as soon as I turned it off, the sound stopped and never came back until I turned it back on. Glad it was an easy, cheap fix. Hope anyone else who might have the same issue, will see to check for cell phone interference.

Ladies and gentlemen, please put your cell phones and other devices into airplane mode. Thank you. ^^^^. I don't know what airplane mode does, but a band I play in use i-pods to provide lyrics and they are on stands beside the microphone. Band mates also have i-phones. Had trouble in the past with beeping random noises coming through my z and finally figured out it was the apple products. We put all our devices in the airplane mode, and no more irratic noise coming through my amp. The other guitar player has a solid state marshall and he never had one problem with the noises, but I sure did. Cannot explain that either.

DC here! Yep that is correct, in our rehearsal studio whenever someone calls me on my cell (Samsung Galaxy S4) I get weird noises from my Route66. Cheers: Dixiechicken!

While most times it can be tube related, but don't discount any other electrical devices in the same room or on the same circuit.
Computers, surround sound systems, chargers, surge strips etc. And naturally plug straight in and change cords and guitars.
We have so many electronic gadgets today, sometimes we may/will get some interference.
