Hi guy's, it's taken me a while and some work and is probably NOT worth the trouble with the quality your about to be tortured with... this is LIVE and recorded... DON"T LAUGH, through a boom box to a cassette tape! I told you NOT to laugh... well no sound check.... no moniters... UNmiked- OUSIDE... actually sounded decent out front but we couldn't hear sh@t....can barely hear the other guitar at times on the other side of the stage.... but boy can you hear my amps and the keyboard.. tape player was sitting right in front of them about 5-6 feet on the floor... well, maybe this'll work.. got a tip or two from lefty...took gettin an i-pod but here's an awful version of HIDEAWAY.... MAZ SR / STINGRAY all over it!!! Z's were the only amps on stage... www.putfile.com/jgleatonwell I hope this works anyway.... ;D will be putting a few more on this site also... can barely hear the vocals in the other songs that do have vocals from THIS gig... I'm using a MAZ SR and my stingray, other guitar players just using his stingray combo....Jason

Great playing Jason! You have some 'sass' to your playing love it. Lots of personality, which always comes through like with your posts. ;D Like the interplay between you and the organ guy. Keep it comin' and I want to hear some more soloing from you.

The playing is pretty d*mn good overall, but what I like best is the recording. I have a lot of old recordings like this from my university days, and I still love to listen to them. Reminds me of the old times... Karma for that.

Thanks guy's... if your a real glutten for punishment heres a couple more on the same site I've added... one slower blues tune is Otis Rush... our version of "all your love" can't hardly hear the singer...ALOT OF STINGRAY into Madison's cab in this one....( little Maz SR but almost all Stingray...that FAT solo in the middle... mostly STINGRAY!!!) media.putfile.com/SLOWER-BLUES-LIVEsecond is a LONG (9 minutes long) jam starting with woman across the river then use me then ??... ending with me laying on the edge of the stage playing layin down..lol ( when they start hoot'in at the very end)mostly MAZ SR into z-best on this one.... ( some stingray in the wah parts at the end) ( you can hear in the main solo of woman across the river, where i hit a high note and go to bend it and it frets out... ha.. I need a fret job on my main strat...it's BEAT and normally if i'm playing in the groove/ pocket I know and remember where all the bad frets are... BUT IF I GET a little HAPPY like I did at this gig, I start digging in and...whoops... found that bad fret... ha ha ha... gotta laugh at myself ;D ) media.putfile.com/ACROSS-THE-RIVER-JAMother guitar player is playing a original 63 strat into his stingray combo... so anytime you hear the other faint guitar it's always a stingray... also ran my 2x12 cab with weber ceramic blue/silver's with the combo's blues...anyway..this was one of the most fun gigs we've had with this band yet... 1st time we played with an organ player ( 2 practices w/ us and this was his 1st gig) and I hope he sticks with us... thanks for the kind words...really hope I can get a better recording soon with some better playin.... we're a little loose..but MAN it was FUN!!! ;D Jason ps, ANYONE who suffers through these and listens, then posts on here (positive or negative) will get KARMA from me... believe me YOU deserve it... ;D

Jason, thanks! After a long day ending a long lousy week, a lousy commute, and an unexpectedly skunky brew you've gone and turned everything good again! +1 to you for that!
Great audience, too - that's awesome.

And thanks rcrecelius I owe you Karma for listening too.... Man, I wish I could jam with a BUNCH of you guy's... Arun, Maybe someday we'll have that Z forum convention in a little shop in OHIO!! Anyone that pays tribute to the great Freddie King gets a thumbs up from me. Great playing and keep the clips coming! shortyz, First off, welcome to the forum, second Thanks for listening/ suffering through the songs.. Karma to ya for that! and we TRY ( emphasis on try) our best to pay trubute to the late GREAT Freddie King EVERY time we play!! he's probably MY personal favorite of all time!! If I could play just a tenth as well, as powerful, melodic and soulful as he did I'd be HAPPY but then I STILL couldn't sing like him... wow he was great... great tunes too, he's one of the few I could listen to all day long! Michael Burks reminds me alot of him with the power in his playing and his GREAT voice and really good songs... could listen to Michael all day too.... anyway, Thank you again... Jason
