Just thought I'd share... It's been a while since I posted anything. I did everything in one pass (one take) and didn't bother going back and puching in on areas where I made mistakes. The name of the project song is called SRV Lives! Influenced by SRV, Robben Ford and Eric Johnson. I used my Maz Sr. + Z-Best, Z-Brake and Zendrive. Some Micro Vibe on one of the tracks. Thank you Dr. Z for making something that inspires creativity in artists and musicians. I hope you like the tune.... peace pg www.paulgirolamo.com/Paul_Girolamo-SRV_Lives-w_solo.mp3

Paul, I'm listening as I type. Mind if I ask how you assembled this? Nice tones and playing!

Thanks Benttop! Uh... everyting I do is on my VS 1880.
Z Best cab is mic'd w/a a SM57... . Mixdown and effects such as verb/delay/comp etc are all Roland VS. Despite having Premier Signias in the studio, the Drums are with my new Roland Fantom X6. My drummer usually isn't around when I'm inspired... always the case isn't it! ;-)
Was there anything in particular you wanted to know?

I have done it before with a loop based system called Acid Pro, but none of the loops you can get are good enough for me, so I end up programming individual beats and bass notes - pretty time consuming. It works great though, from the standpoint of getting the notes I want, the timing, the dynamics, etc. But man is it ever time consuming...

Roland Fantom X Series.... That is the way to go.... The drums are awesome and I sequence on the fly. No patterns or loops. I'll take this and hand it to my drummer and he'll work with it.

Oh... a KEYBOARD? Holy cow... Well, now that is a means I had not thought about, but I see the logic of it. Thanks. And again, nice tones and playing!
