Still diggin' my Therapy. It has more tones than any amp Ive played. A real chameleon.A friend wants to sell his Carr Rambler.Hes in a different state so I cant really compare, but I hear a lot of Therapy in the clips Ive heard. Redundent to own both?Anybody out there ever owned one.Looking for the Fendery blackface tone and a nice soft feel. Thanks in advance...

Never heard it called stiff! Listen to some of the clips - SRV At El Mocambo tones.

I owned a carr rambler at one time. Here is my take on the rambler.
Think 6L6 type sound. Worked well with any guitar and reacted very well with pedals. Sound was clear, bright, nice rich lows. Nice sound. Reverb was nice as was the tremolo. Has two settings--triode (14 watts) and pentode (28 watts). The triode mode was more tweedy in my opinion and the pentode mode brings more headroom and punch. Not really an overdrive amp, but you can get different flavors with pedals.
I am not sure what constitutes a blackface sound, but to my ears the rambler probably comes close. Great build quality and a great amp in my books. Traded mine for a maz 38sr a few years back and have been in the Z camp ever since. The maz seems to have more headroom than the rambler did, but the rambler made me smile every time I played it.
