Lovely, Mark. Enjoy it and let us know how the new one's tone differs, in your view, from having that rosewood neck.

I have one of the earlier sunburst EJ's as well, and I agree that for the money they really are one of the best deals going. The neck profile and radius in particular make for a very smooth-playing Strat. Nice one!

awesome! I have the EJ palomino metallic rosewood and its a great guitar. I just put a down payment on the turquois rosewood yesterday at a music store as well. Its a beautiful guitar look wise and playing wise

Other guitarist in band has one. Very nice. Looks good. Plays well and sounds like one of the best Stratocasters made. Play on brother, play on.

Thanks men! I'm really diggin' this guitar. And yes digs, it is a touch warmer. I like that the first EJ model...my white one is a 50's style and the new one is a 60's style. My Strat needs have been fully satisfied. oh yeah...the case is super sweet!! The sunburst is gone.... Enjoy Scott!

I've wanted an EJ strat for a few years now. I think I'd really like one of the maple boards in candy apple. The rosewood boards are cool as well.

Very cool! I love the rosewood with the blue. My next guitar purchase will be a rosewood Strat. I have a maple board Strat that is my number 1, but I definitely prefer the feel of rosewood over maple.
