On layaway--it's a used 2014 in ex+ condition, a little heavy at 7.8 lbs but not too bad, $1200 from Dave's in La Crosse. Should have her paid for here pretty quick. Also on order: a variety of ceramic slides. See where this is going?

I almost always prefer to buy used when the opportunity arises. Let somebody else take the depreciation on a new guitar!

I love my Firebirds! They're a lot more versatile than people give them credit for.

I figured I'd better jump before the big price increase hits--no doubt used prices will go up, too.

WOW there is a 2013 in Mint condition sitting in my local shop right now and I just came to grips with leaving it there. But now I am experiencing GAS all over again I may need to drop by tonight and take another look at it.
Thanks Jon!

I've got two, myself! I love them! One is a Vintage sunburst 2012 Firebird V, and the other is the Red Epiphone Firebird VII 1963 reissue! My favorite guitars! Though whenever I go pick up my Tele, or someone elses Les Paul, I like how much smaller they are than the Firebirds. They're worth it though.

Nothing wrong with following in the path of a master, Jon. Cool guitar indeed.

Going from any of my other guitars to the Firebirds definitely take a minute to adjust; both overall size and necks. The Gibby Firebird isn't as bad but the neck on my Orville 'bird is MASSIVE!

But Alas the guitar was gone as I thought it would be. Maybe next time!!
