Anyone used their Therapy to gig with yet?
I'm trying to get a sense of how this amp actually performs in the mix of a band compared to the Remedy. I'm seriously thinking about crossing over to the Therapy camp. Thoughts would be very appreciated.

I have gigged it 4 times now, and will be doing so again next weekend.
It cuts through the mix brilliantly! Now I Have to say that when I eventually got my Remedy where I wanted it, it too cuts through the mix so long as I was careful not to let the OD saturate too much (that bit always required careful attention IMHO, but when I did pay attention, I never had an issue with tone or projection from the Remedy)
That being said, I have not had to think about the Therapy cutting through - it just does! No matter where the V is set, it just CUTS! Because it has less overall OD than the Rem, there's never an issue with fizzing out (that's probably too strong a word to use, but the Rem could over-saturate quite quickly, and get a bit lost in the mix).
Also, with the Therapy, I find I just THINK about a tone, and there it is........ pinch harmonics, feedback, damped chugs, singing sustain, clean gentle notes, biting hard notes....... just play them, and there they are! I have no idea what sort of magic dust the Doc sprinkled on this baby, but it works!!
I have said it before and it's worth repeating: I loved my Remedy, but I am IN LOVE with my Therapy! I can say with total conviction, if I had to only play one amp for the rest of my life, I would die a happy man with a Therapy. Period.

Pete, I appreciate your input once again...........I'm sold!

Nicely put (as usual) Pete! But I really did not NEED to read this... I don't need another amp, I don't need another amp, I don't need another amp. But he's IN LOVE with his Therepy! I don't need another amp, I don't need another amp, I don't need another amp. But.... I don't need another amp. ..Do I?

^^^ LOL! However, to restate another post I made somewhere else; 95% of all my audiences everywhere couldn't tell the difference between a crappy SS amp and a cheap Squier; and my beloved Les Paul through my gorgeous Therapy! I have reached that Zen place where I totally realise that my lovely gear is there 95% of the time for MY benefit (the other 5% is for my band members who like my tone, and the rare audience member who can recognise quality when they hear it!) So Steve, the question is not whether you NEED another amp....... but do you WANT another amp, eh??? (justifying it to SWMBO, is another matter entirely )

I don"t post all that often, but I wanted Pete to know he's the one who sold me on the Therapy. I would read Pete's post on the Z28 page, and he has a passion about that amp....I know the feeling. I'm the same way with my EZG50. When he aquired the Therapy, there was a totally transformation.......I was impressed. Mine should be in Tuesday. I'm leaving to play a bike rally in Hot Springs Arkansas the next day. It's a four night gig, that I've been doing once or twice a year for fifteen years, so it will be tested. I hope I come back to Texas with the same passion for the Therapy that Pete has.....I believe I will. I also have a Z28 that I love. Thanks to Doc and Pete, this will be an interesting rally.

The responsibility of it all ............... I don't see how anyone who loves the Z28 (I still have mine BTW - it's still going nowhere!) could not also love the Therapy - the Therapy is like the Z28's big brother, but with more Gain on tap, and it's a bit more forgiving to those of us with less than ideal technique (that EF86 in the Z28 is a tough task-master, but it made me a much better player!) Enjoy the gig, and enjoy the Therapy!

Pete, from the videos I've seen, the Therapy is a bit more "Fendery" where as the Z28 seems to have some Marshall, or should I say British injected into it, at least to my ears.

I've gigged with my Therapy several times now. Live drummer, bass player, horns and acoustic guitar in our band. The Therapy will sit right where I want it to. If I want to float in the background and provide fill, it will do that and when I need it to jump out it will. Most of the time I can do this with right hand picking technique so it makes very easy to do as I can grow my gain and volume as the emotion of a song grows, its very cool for that. To directly support Pete's answer, the Therapy can cut thru very nicely but it is also a gentlmen when you need it to. I really like that about this amp, its not as in your face (unless you want it to be) but makes its voice heard nicely. my 2 cents, Todd

Pete, from the videos I've seen, the Therapy is a bit more "Fendery" where as the Z28 seems to have some Marshall, or should I say British injected into it, at least to my ears. Could be...... I'm not very good at the classic comparisons as I have never had the opportunity to play many of them, so I have to resort to hyperbole, which doesn't always work............ Certainly to my ears the Therapy is more forgiving than the Z28, and has more gain, and smoother gain with a lot of rich harmonics - if that's a classic Fender trait, then so be it I just love the fact that I now only use pedals for specific effects, and not as "tone enhancers". For me the Z28 was my clean platform, full and muscular, to which I had to add my BB or SL for rock sounds. That's not needed with the Therapy, and now 90% of the time there are no pedals engaged, just my right hand dynamics and the GV. VERY cool!

Pete, that's good to hear. Mine is out for delivery, so it should be here anytime soon.
I'll get a little time on it tonight before leaving Texas for Arkansas to do a bike rally, then it will be played four nights in a row.........OH YEAH!!!!!!
