I rebuilt my pedal board last week and finally got around to running it with my Therapy. I have all first rate pedals and top shelf cables so I was curious if I would hear much difference when plugged in thru the pedal board. Guitar to amp sounds best but I was pleasantly surprised with how good the amp sounded. I do not feel running pedals in front of this amp is a penalty as it still sounded great. The amp sounded great with my dirt boxes (dirty little secret and black lung) I did not care for the way my ts9 based fat penguin sounded though (grainy to my ears). Switching over to my echo and delay I have no issues. Break up on the amp sounded great and there no loss in clarity with these pedals engaged. This amp is so thick and full sounding that I have not felt the need for any reverb, at all. In fact, I pulled my M9 off my board and left my Holy Grail on the shelf. Boost is great! Sends the amp overdrive thru the roof in a glorious way! What have you all tried? Todd

Great report Todd, and spot on!
Ironically I'm using more pedals with my Therapy than ever before...... But of a VERY different nature!
EP boost of course, plus the SL set low gain as a boost too but with a different flavour just for fun - certainly not needed!
Carbon Copy which sounds excellent (no reverb, but then I haven't used reverb since I got my Ghia, 5 amps ago!)
Now for the fun bit - I'm using a POG2 for octave stuff, and a rare Xotic Robotalk 2 for that funky auto-wah envelope filter sound - this amp just makes them sound COOL!
All other dirt pedals are now redundant .............

Trying pedals is something I'll get to one of these days... Good cables make a difference

You have top shelf cables? There's a surprise.

I've tried running straight in, which is great, but I'm such a pedal buff I like the Therapy even better with pedals. Everything from the Wampler Velvet Fuzz to the Barber Gain Changer--they all sound great. Thinking about acquiring a good verb pedal--sold my Flint when I got the EZG.
