Carmen Ghia Head with 1x12 Cab and Custom Shop '57 Reissue Junior.
Anyone have experience with the combination?
Considering a different direction and listed one of my Standard Faded's on Reverb.
I would appreciate your thoughts on the pairing and thanks for your time.

Something close is one of my current fave tone recipes:
LP Tribute P90 (Lollar P90s, 50's style wiring w/ Vit. Qs + 500K pots, Goldtop for extra awesome) into Ghia head (JJ, JAN 5751, JJ m. pr, Ken-Rad 5Y3) into Mather pine, open back 1x12 w/ Scumback M75 PVC (EARLY greenback style with the crispness in the highs like a good Blue).
V = 2:00, T = 11:00-12:00
MAN, I'm addicted to this tone! I just ride the GV and since I mostly play without a pick I get such a range of pushed, gooey cleans into a sharp snarl all with killer sustain. Plus, it has so much 3D presence I rarely even use the slapback ech that's almost always at my feet.
Just a classic combo IMO. I'll get a clip posted if I can get to it.

With the Ghia and a 1x12 cab, I'd suggest going in the direction of a G12 Blue or Weber Blue Dog in the speaker cab and then plugging in a Tele. Just fantastic.

My favorite guitar with my Ghia has been this one. Gibson P90's sound super with the Ghia.

Historic Jr's are really fantastic. They are some of the best guitars coming out of that shop. Straight outa the box. The Ghia will confirm this.

VOLUME TONE / VOLUME TONE / ATTENUATE
and yet the end result has endless possibilities.
I'm camping happy.
