I think Smolder had the link in the BST section the other day. It's a newer model with a 10" Gold and a Brake Lite and a pair of NOS GE EL84's.
The guy had it on Flea Bay so I made a good offer and he accepted. Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow!
I think I'll like the Gold better than the Red Fang. I'll be curious to see how huge this thing sounds. I've heard so many good things about it! I'm really looking forward to run it through it's paces!!!!

Congrats... that looked like a very good deal. The Ghia has enough tonal range for single coils or humbuckers... and the gold or red fang. Unless you heading to an extreme, you'll likely find a wide tonal range to your liking.

It's my favorite amp for sure. I like it with the red fang or eminence legends, have not heard it with a gold but I don't think that amp can sound bad thru any speaker. Have fun.

Congrats on the Ghia!
I've had mine a while now and that's all that I've been playing through.
Mine has the V30 and I'm quite content with that, I may give a Gold a whirl down the road.
Let us know what you think once it's in.
This post puts me into the next level too!

Just a quick update on this little mojo monster... In the home at low volumes the tone control really gives a nice pallet of tone.... I really enjoyed it with the Gibby 335... It really delivered that classic humbucker sound with great top and low end...
Yesterday I took it on an outdoor gig and I disconnected the gold and plugged into a older Style Z cab with a vintage 30 in-er. I probably had the V@11 and the T@1. I ran a slight slap back delay and used a Velvet Fuzz for OD sounds with a Pine Tele that I built. We were not going thru a PA so it was all volume control from the stage. The venue was a little Fried Fish/Cold Beer Shack on the water. I must say That I had some of the best clean sparkle but just enough hair on it to make you to play all night long. When I needed a little extra for heavier tones and slide I just threw on the Velvet Fuzz and POW... the clarity was so nice while playing soft and got nasty when digging in... it just cant get any easier that having 2 knobs... so simple!
I did get a few compliments from some local musicians also... the other guitar player was playing a Bruno Cowtipper 22 with a les paul and plenty of pedals for big fire power... he's a great player to boot so we had a good contrast going on between us.... The Ghia stood up on it's own for sure!!!!
I really liked it better with the V30 than the 10inch Gold... maybe it's the way the V30 breaks up but it was more to my liking... hopefully a video will soon follow!!

Perhaps you like the upper mid spike in tone of the V30? Some love it, some hate it. But there are many who like the V30 with the Ghia. I've never used one with mine. If I need something bigger than the 1x10 Ghia, I've got the stangray or a Remedy as my 'big rigs'.

Glad you liked it. Do you have a red fang hanging around?

Sounds like you need a Y cable so you can run the v30 and gold together

Glad you liked it. Do you have a red fang hanging around? Eric I don't have one. What would say the difference is between the Fang and the Gold?

My other rig is a Z Wreck Head with a 1x12 Convertable cab with a Cream Back... Tons of tone!

The 10" Red Fang is MUCH louder than the 10" gold. My combo came with the fang. I did NOT like it. Personally, it made the combo too loud for the amp's intended purpose (small clubs) I also thought it had more of a lower mid bump in tone.
Like you, I have other amps for bigger shows.

The extra volume of the RF made the rig more versatile for me in the band situations I've been using it in.

I love the way the Red Fang worked with the Ghia, I just use my guitar volume if it's to loud and just roll it down to where I want to be, then if more volume is needed for a solo ect....I've got it on tap. Even though my guitar knob goes up to 10 often I'll never need to go beyond 8.
