Anyone know what I can use these for? I ended up with 4 old ones off ebay that test good in my tester but looking at the mu numbers for them I'm having a hard time figuring out what to stick them in. Anyone got any idears?

Was there not a preamp output rating chart that Myles posted that listed all these different preamp tubes ? I think those rate below a 12AT7 but could be used in place in some cases where you want a lower output .
Now as to where you can stick them....that's a loaded question ;D

Hahaha you made me cackle out loud. I don't think these are suppositories.
I might try them in my valve junior. When I crank that thing up it gets downright harsh.

They work very well for pedals with 12ax7s in which you want to lower the gain.

They are not a great tube in the front end but are a great phase inverter where you want a lot of clean headroom.
I had one of these in Gary Hooker's (Brad Paisley) Z-28 for a while when they wanted the amp to have as much clean headroom as possible.
