My 1st post here.I just bought a green tolex/Lamp Ghia from a friend. But he lost the back cover. (He loves to roll tubes)So I would like to know if there is a template or dimensions for the back cover? Also does anyone know where to get the closest matching green Tolex? Thanks
Trainwreck music PS I’ll post Pics when I figure out how to! LOL

Welcome in! Must be a head, right? I do not think there is a template or dimensions, but I bet you could talk someone into measuring one. As far as the tolex goes, I'm not sure, but I've seen this question answered here before, so with a bit of patience, I'm sure the right guy will respond with the location.
Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum. There are a lot of good people hear and some great information. Unfortunately,,I don't have a ghia so I can't give you dimensions of back plate. But I can help you with posting pics. You need to have your pics on a "hosted" site like Photobucket. Once there, use their copy function and then you can paste into the text box here. Good luck!

Appears that the Tolex in the link is very close... The bumps are green against an almost black background if that makes sense? The amp is at my studio will have to take a closer look. Thanks so much for your generous offer. I have an empty 1-12 cab that is bare wood that I am thinking about covering to match the green head.

Congrats on the Ghia and welcome to the forum.
Great choice in amp as well. I had one a few years ago and had to sell it for financial reasons and wanted one ever since.
The great thing about the Ghia is you'll find yourself setting it and spend more time playing guitar than fiddling with knobs. The 11' o clock Volume, 1 o 'clock on the Tone always worked for me. You can hit it with your favourite choice of booster for solos or just leave a good boost on all the time and just wind back the volume knob on your guitar and open it up when soloing. The choice is yours. Simplicity is best with this thing.
I have owned Maz Sr, Maz Jr, RXES, Z28, Galaxie and Ghia in the past. Financially, I could get anything I want to right now, except for a Z Wreck. My choice is simple. It's going to be a Carmen Ghia.
Lucky for me I have one lined up in a few weeks.

Sweet wood valence and green tolex !!! How is it going with the search ? Thanks. The link to Mojo tone tolex seems to be the closest. The tolex on the head is green with darker green bumps after closer inspection.

The tolex on the head is green with darker green bumps after closer inspection. I just thought that the tolex on the amp has aged and probably the color has faded over time. You could do it in pink and, as long as you close your eyes while you play, it will sound like it matches
