There's another thread about my CG25th head repeatedly blowing fuses...on the back of the amp it states that the fuses should be 500mA slo-blo. This is London calling here, so we're talking about an amp running voltages over twice US values. Well...following a helpful comment from bluzman that US specification Ghias ask for a 1 amp fuse, I checked with the UK importer (Peach, as you know), and the great John Priest (who'd sold the amp in the first place) suggested I tried a 1 amp fuse in my Ghia...
PROBLEM SOLVED! So, a 30 pence fuse of the 'wrong' value is actually what works in a UK/EU 240volt Ghia! So if a full valve swap hasn't had the desired effect and/or if you keep blowing fuses, just try a 1 amp fuse...weirdly, the cheapest fix has turned out to be the best.
