Sounds like tone knob is being turned down

So.

Over the last week I've been using my 2X10 Ghia at home and over the past few days it's developed an issue.

It sounds like the tone is being turned down at random. The sound well get muffled. And then come back.

I tried cleaning tube sockets and switching tubes. I tried a different cab.

Is there one tube I should concentrate on?

I'm figuring its time for a tech to look at it but I just want to make sure I haven't missed something simple.

That actually makes sense as I wasn't 100% positive the 12ax7 I tried there was new and/or good. I sorta suspected it might be a pull in a new looking box.

I'll make sure I try one of my known good RCAs.
