Came in a custom Mather pine studio cabinet with an Avatar Hellatone in there. I already swapped for a Celestion G12H
30 Anniversary (which is similar to the Hellatone), which seemed a little larger. Thats the set-up for tonight.
I did run it thru a Mesa Cabinet with a Black Shadow 90 and I'll say it sounded bigger and more black-face like. Running it thru my Avatar 2x12 with greenback-clones sounded awesome, but too big for tonight.
I also play in an Eagles tribute band, and will prob go the greenback route for those gigs.....time will tell.

Very very cool! One of our z bros here in chicago has a Mather, very nice cab and so lightweight. It sounds real nice with the 12h30.
Enjoy and report back!

Well, after three songs, my amp went dead. Turns out it was a bad pre-amp tube, but I didn't figure that out until I got home at 2:00am. Dissapointed for sure, but it's a tube amp. Lot's more opportunities. DRAG, sorry to hear that man.

I've had tubes fail at gigs... then I started carrying spares to gigs and it hasn't happened again... yet! Yeah, get some spare tubes and a tube soft box to store them.

I suggest that you go ahead and do a total retube/rebias; it's not a cure-all, but it will make you worry less.
