So, I was talking with another Z owner about using a Y cable to run 2 cabs, when I realized that I made a very, very dumb mistake. With my 25th Anniv. Ghia, I've been using a parallel Y cable from PCNS going from the 8ohm output of the head to both my 8ohm cabinets, when I really should have been using the 4ohm output. I've been running this way for a while, several months. Ugh, I can't believe I did this.
Is it possible I did damage to the amp?

It is possible but probably not likely. Are you hearing anything out of the ordinary coming out of the amp? Hum, static, etc?
The additional current draw from the way you had it hooked up could potentially hurt the output transformer. However the Doc overbuilds his amps so my guess is that unless you hear any issues with the amp, you should be OK.
Just be sure to always use the proper output which I think you know now.

Probably not. They're overbuilt.
Phil's kid turned on his Ghia (not hooked up to a speaker at ALL)....and Phil didn't discover it for three days. Amp is fine.
