Is the Rajun Cajun going to be a less expensive alternative to a Red Fang? Is it going to provide similar responses? Any other speakers you love with the Ghia?
Thanks

Red Fang is alnico, RC is ceramic. So there's a difference there. The only time I had a RC was with a different amp, and I sent the speaker back to Musicians Fiend as it sounded terrible with the amp. But the RC will be much cheaper than the Fang.
And since you said the RC...you want the conversation to be limited to 10" speakers?
Many here in the forum like the Red Fang. VERY loud and a bit of a lower mid bump in tone. (I do NOT like the speaker with the Ghia) I love my 10" Gold, but I'm going for the country-tele tone. The new 10" greenback is getting some nice reviews. It's a very low db speaker (95db), so if you need lots of headroom, it won't be a good choice. If you like to crank the amp without getting such a loud volume, it could be good. And I wouldn't rule out any of the Weber offerings. Always nice speakers. Same with Warehouse Guitar Speakers...several 10" to choose from. They make good speakers. I don't have any experience with WGS 10" speakers, but I do with their 12"....very nice speakers. And cheap too!

Yeah, I think the Ragin' Cajun is much less expensive than the Red Fang 10; those AlNiCo speakers tend to be pricey (the Cajun has a less-expensive ceramic magnet). I'd still recommend the RF for the Ghia, though—I think its profile is better suited to the Ghia.
The Eminence Ramrod or Weber Silver Ten might be good options, too—and both just as affordable as the Cajun.

I have a RC in a Silverface Princeton and am very happy with the combination. A long time ago I played around switching it around with the RF in my Z-28 and left them as they are today.

I had a Ramrod and switched to the RF primarily for the bump in efficiency/headroom.

I'm not a Ghia owner (Rati instead), but I use a Ramrod in my 1x10 Z28 combo, and it works great. I suppose there's a reason Dr. Z uses these as stock 10" speakers in the 1x10 cab. I use two different Eminence speakers in my Vibrolux Reverb, the Ragin Cajun and the Lil Buddy; they complement each other well for my uses.
