Hi all, new to the forum and hopefully soon new to the world of Dr Z. Sizing up a m12 combo with a celestion blue as a clean, small size gig amp. Was curious to see its weight at 50lbs? Is this right? Almost as heavy as a tweed bassman seems a lot for a small 1 x12 amp with no reverb or trem. Can anyone confirm the weight for me and if it is that heavy - how come?
Thanks!

The cabinets are musician proof. Very heavy duty. The amps are over-built. The transformers are huge. Definitely the over-engineered "Tank" of booteek amps!!!!

I never actually weighed my Greenback combo, but even in a heavy-duty road case it was manageable. Easily a one-hand amp.

It's in the iron. neos will save you weight but you may or may not like em. You will be glad you carried that fitty lbs to a gig. I can do a M12 combo or similar, guitar and pedals in one trip! Suntin to be said for dat!
Welcome!
