I find that even at 9:00 or 10:00 the amp is pretty loud for house volumes, especially after you add boost + overdrive....
I'm thinking of getting an Airbrake..
Anybody ever used one with the Delta? If so, does it affect the dynamics and tone? How much volume reduction can you get without sacrificing ANY tone??
The natural tone of this amp is too PERFECT to **** with, so I don't know if the airbrake will do it for me....

The Airbrake is pretty transparent until you get to the bedroom volume selection on it.

This amp is LOUD. Would highly recommend an AirBrake for sure.

but how much reduction do you get...
for example, if you put the volume to 11:00 and put on the airbrake at a pretty strong setting, can you get the amp down to 44 watts?
Or does this thing work completely differently, I have never used one so I don't know much about them.

Michael Burks uses a Z Airbrake on his 88 all the time.
His tone sounds pretty great to me.

two clicks above bedroom setting, should turn it down alot and still give you the true tone of the amp it self.volume set on about 9 o'clock.it all depends on what tone you looking for.warm tone, clean tone , dirty ? ironman

Thanks for the reply...
I'm looking for that dirty plexi grind.. with the klon + rc both on clean boost modes and the amp at 12:00, this thing does the angus young/joe perry tone .. it just screams and has such incredible dynamics that i don't want to lose it! But like I said in the earlier post, it hammers-away at ym ears like crazy... so I will get myself the air brake and try that setting,,,
I find that the amp is too harsh for single coil SRV type tones, which Z do you think would work well for that? I was looking into the Z-28 or Ghia?
thanks again Michael!!!

I do not like using any kind of attenuator with my amps. I have had the airbrake and the mass...and I found they take away the feel and thump from amps. JMO

Where are you from in Canada? I'd like to try and get Z users together from the Montreal/Ottawa area but I haven't spoken to many people from my area on here...
Did you get your amp at Lauzon?
