I'm considering mounting my Brake-Lite actually inside my Carmen Ghia head cabinet. Has anyone ever done this? I think there is just enough room to do so. It'll be a little trickier to adjust settings, but I don't do that overly frequently anyways.
Would there be any adverse side effects to doing this, such as noise, interference, too much heat, etc.? It will be fairly close to the preamp tubes and not all that far from the power tubes. I know my Ghia chassis gets quite hot, so if that will cause issue with the BL, I won't do it.
Thanks in advance.

Hey LBC, The Brake Lite does need good ventilation. So keep that in mind. Keep it away from the 5Y3, as those drop so much voltage and they turn it into heat.
I haven't tried this but the low wattage Ghia shouldn't tax the BL that much.
Good luck let us know how it works.

Thanks, Doc. It would have to be placed on the other side, over by the preamp tubes. I might just err on the safe side as I certainly don't want to risk damage to the Brake-Lite.
I appreciate you and your team always being so helpful!

Wouldn't a better place be to mount it in the cab? Unless you're touring with just the head and asking for cabs on the leader. Just curious LBC

I have thought about doing the same thing however I have Doc's 2 x 10 cab and was going to put it in there, only issue is I am running it as a closed back which would mean the BL wouldn't get much ventilation.

But now I'm using a couple different cabs, so it would be handy inside the head. I currently have it mounted to a block of wood as a makeshift BL-SA, which works, but is like to simplify.
