How percussive and immediate is the Ghia? Thinking about getting a 1x10 for small gigs and rehearsals. However, I get a little concerned over how percussive things can be.....like the Maz Jr. I tend to like less percussive amps so it feels a bit more forgiving, to me. I tend not to be this super touch sensitive guy (just ask my wife!), but more of a get after it strummer who is doing more and more of the lead work these days.
Thouhgts? I had a ghia a long long time ago, and can't recall at all.
Thanks!

She'll be quite forgiving w/ the 5Y3 rectifier in there. A GZ34 is where the harder feel comes in IMO.

The 1x10 Ghia is awesome. You can't go wrong.

Think the Ghia is the least percusive/immediate Z that I've owned (also have a Stangray, M12 and had a Remedy and Rx Jr.)
And that's why I like it, it's becoming my favorite
Actually just sold my Maz 18 NR cuz it was thumping a bit harder then the Ghia Sounds a little more richer to me ears also

Really is a cool little beast...the portability of the 1/10 is the icing.

I've used the 1-10 Ghia with my 5 piece Country/Rock band and my 8 piece variety/horn band. Usually run it clean and use pedals for drive. Agree with the guys here….it's a great amp.

Those amps will be REAL percussive. If the Ghia is set clean, it can be percussive, but it's known as the volume dial increases, to not add much more in the way of volume...but it adds compression and overdrive. So you can select.

Actually the Remedy, Maz 18 and the Rx Jr all have a 12ax7 in V1 (the Rx Jr has an EF86 in V3)
Instersting on the Ghia, I haven't had it that long. But only played it in my house, haven't really had the volume 10 or 11 O'clock Still seemed a bit juicier/spongier/softer than the Maz, and definitely the Stangray

With the 1x10 you'll get punchy but not percussive. Still has a nice feel for attack but yeah with the design it is different than tbe more "percussive" Z-Amps. Ghia should be in everybody's arsenal of amps.

Agreed bluzman...but you wont get fatty 12" bottem end/portability (for me) is the tradeoff.
That said... one shouldn't under estimate this little bstd's power.
