The Studio Slip arrived just in time and the CGLE got to make the trip to DC. Fit perfectly under the seat on the plane. Friday night was at the Gibson Show Room in DC. I rented a Mesa 2x12 cab through Drums Unlimited in DC [great company, total pros, excellent gear and service for backline help]. It was a good match to the CGLE. Saturday was a Halloween/Costume party/benefit show opening for Camp Freddy. We were at the 930 Club. Awesome venue. Sebastian Bach sat in w/ Camp Freddy and did Mountain Song w/ Dave Navarro on guitar. Sebastian has some amazing vocals...... and is an incredibly cool guy. Since it was a Halloween/Costume party, we dressed as Pu**y Riot - a female punk band from Russia. The little CGLE on the Mesa looked cute sitting in front of Navarro's Marshall stacks. Size is deceiving as she was plenty loud through the mains. My ears are still ringing. The stage levels followed by Camp Freddy's live show was one of the loudest events I've ever subjected my ears to. I'm packing plugs next time.

Very cool. I am sure you confused the TSA carrying that on the plane!

Looks like a fun time! How was the Rock & Roll Hotel gig? Was thinking about coming, but I'm a Red Sox, fan , and the Series was on that night. I can barely bathe myself, given the excitement. Leaving the house was out of the question.

We got a call from the R&R Hotel the night before that the Fighting Jamesons had cancelled. I assume it was because their ticket pre-sales were low. It worked out for the best as we would have literally stepped of the plane and onto a stage. No practice no nothing. So with Thursday night open, we ended up drinking Irish Whiskey at the DC residence ofIreland's Ambassador to the US. Her name is Anne Anderson. Delightful lady who had quite a bit to say about immigration reform. It was a reception honoring Irish Attorney's here in the US. It ended up being a splendid plan B to the plan A at R&R Hotel.
