New Dilemma...
I found a M12 head that I bought last night. I think I got a great deal on it. BUT I do not have a cab.
There is an Egnater 1X12 here with the G12H30 here locally for $140. I realize that it is not a botique cab on the same level withe Dr. Z stuff BUT would it get me through for a bit?
Thanks in advance!

They are plywood. I also found these seismic things I dont know much about them but they are 1/2" void free plywood for $150 shipped and look like either a vintage style or orange style or just a box.
I have read that particle board is worst. 1/2" ply next worse but better 3/4" ply better solid wood best.... maybe I read wrong

I think the Docs cabs use birch ply for the shell and baffle. Good quality ply should sound good. My mather cab has a pine shell but I think the baffle on it is birch ply as well.

I'd go for the Egnater to get by until you do some serious shopping. For $140 you'll not only get something to hear that great new amp, but also give you an idea about what you're looking for in a cab when you do have a little time to shop around. I'm sure at that price you can flip it at a minimal loss in the worst case and you could actually make a buck.

I can vouch for the Egnater cab. I used to have 2 that I used with a Two Rock and Carmen Ghia I used to own. Nice and full, bassy, and they project well.
