Gigged the Ghia 1-10 last nite w the 8pc horn band....outside. The band plays a mix of soul, cl rock, funk, country....even some big band. Had the V at 11 and tone at 1:30 or so, w no BL. Used a Strat w a Flying Dragon, Timmy and SL Drive. Also kept a Carl Martin Comp on all the time with a very small amount of comp.
After the 2nd set, the soundman told me that although he started me off in the mix, I was now totally out. He said that especially the solos were rockin' from just the wee Ghia. How cool is that! I wasn't sure about using this amp with this particular band, what with 3 horns, keys etc., but alas it did the trick. Amazing!

WOW ! At an outdoor stage none the less. What's the speaker in your combo? I'm assuming you could hear yourself just fine Wish we had a sound clip for posterity's sake.

^^ Red Fang speaker. I could hear it pretty clearly. At times I could have used a bit more headroom for some real clean stuff, but all-in-all the li' bit did just fine. I usually run a little of my amp in my in-ears but didn't have that last night, so it was all Ghia straight out.
Lemme see if I can find a clip. I noticed the sound guy was running a camera on a tripod stand out front.
