I had been toying with the idea of getting a new Ghia head, as I've often wished I hadn't sold my '98 Mean Green Ghia to my friend who absolutely loves it. An anniversary edition would have been very cool, but wasn't in the cards at the moment. So I "accidentally" just picked up this little guy off ebay. It's the head that I wanted, with a convenient little Red Fang attached . It's nearly as portable as a head, and I can plug it into a bigger cab if I need to make more noise. This is a rock & roll machine, pictured above with my two favorite friends for playing loud "rawk". I had forgotten how unique the Ghia sounds, and I'm shocked that this little guy doesn't sound boxy at all.

Nice little Ghia there! Congrats. Nice photo's and Collings 360 too! Thanks! Some might think it's goofy, but it's my antiqued Collings. Great guitar!

There's a guy on TGP and the Collings forum, jkima, that finishes and antiques f-style guitars. He put this 360 up that he had done, and it grabbed me. I offered a 290 that I had personally aged (by banging it around ) as a trade, and the rest is history. I at times miss my 290, but this is a really unique guitar.

Finally got my Ghia combo out for practice last night. It was... LOUD. yikes! I could barely get its legs stretched out, but sounded very cool. The COT side of my new lovepedal Amp Eleven (prymaxe version) is a really, really nice match. Even fully counterclockwise, it gave it some great snarl. Great amp!

Yeah burnsy I put brakelite in and it makes it very adjustable to conditions.I played a jam last wkd and I started at 3 ended up at 1.no pedals. Its going to take a little time to dial in...I do want to use my boost with it but I was trying to get it up and running without. At 3 I had to turn up to 2 vol amp....still wasn't cutting it with the other loud arse guitarplayer. At 1 it started to be a fair fight...sort of speak. And yes great amp brudda, must agree

I love my Ghia, but I'm also taken by your Collings. The combination must be magical.
