Got my 2nd M12 today. Remind me not to sell this one, lol... I also ordered a Mather 1x12 cab a month ago in anticipation of getting another M12 and other small chassis Z's. So I thought I'd post a little teaser.

Very nice. Is that a 1x10?

You are correct. This place will get to ya... I've had a few others pass through my hands that were really nice and amazing amps. But I just really didn't need that much amp at the time - a Mazerati v2, 2x12 Stangray, and a JAZ 20/40 combo. I have an Rx Jr also which is one of my favorites of all time.
The first M12 I had was a red/tan 1x10 combo. I have really missed it. But I think the small and lightweight mather cab will fit the bill nicely.

It's a 1x12 from Mather. Only slight taller than Doc's 1x10.

Glad you were able to get back to an M12. Love the 1x12 Mather cab, but the 1x10 will do me just fine. Try the GZ34 recto for some extra goodness.

Hey Jim, thanks. I've been reading these threads on the gz34, so I will have to try it out.

Well I gigged the M12/Mather 1x12 and it sounded great as I remember. I put in a 5v4 rectifier to get in between the 5y3 and gz34. I also used a tone tubby low watt 12". I think it will be a great speaker with this amp. I really like the way the M12 can cut through a mix.

I too just came back to my second M12. Gonna keep this one no matter what! I'm interested to hear more discussion about swapping rectifier tubes.

I was wondering what cabinet that was, I can't find Dr. Z on their site.
Thank you!

I just emailed Mather and told them I wanted the Dr Z 1x10 size/style cab except big enough to hold a 12" speaker. He had already built several of them so he knew exactly what I was talking about. Very reasonably priced as well.
