This may have been covered already but I was wondering if any of the brothers have had an opportunity to compare these two fantastic amps. Just curious to hear the differences.

I have had both, still have the Maz 18
Loved the Remedy, but mine was pre-master
Think the Maz is a bit more tweakble tone wise The Remedy's fundamental was a thing a beauty and didn't need much tweaking
Now that the Remedy has a Master ... tough call
Do give Versatility edge to the Maz

Thanks, I should have mentioned I am referring to the sonic differences as the hardware differences are easy to differentiate.

Remedy is ballsier and more rude! Marshall-esque in aggression (Super Lead 100 Marshall, not the modern high gain stuff), but with a 6V6 under-tone. It gets much dirtier than the Maz18. With the MV and EQ Bypass, the Remedy is VERY versatile, and has some glorious cleans, so is definitely NOT a "Marshall one trick pony". The Maz is 2 parts Vox, 1 part Fender, and with that Cut knob, is very versatile, but to get the best out of it, you need to run the MV quite hot, so I always needed a Brake Lite to be able to gig it. I didn't like the EQ Bypass on the Maz. The Maz has some great chime, but I wasn't fond of the EL84 OD tones, so always played it very clean and used pedals for all my OD tones. The Remedy I run dirtier, and use the GV to clean it up as needed, but I find the zing and bite of the natural OD so good, I rarely play very clean anymore As for volume (ignoring the PPIMV on the Remedy for the moment) the Remedy half-power switch takes it down to 20W, which compares very favourably with the Maz's 18W. Or course if you use the full-power 40W setting on the Remedy, you get more volume, and a bit more fullness to the tone. WIth the PPIMV, I use 40W all the time now, and just roll back the PPIMV to taste. I've had both, and still have the Remedy, which will never leave my side (ps I don't play country or jazz. If I did, then I doubt the Remedy would be my choice of amp for those styles, even though it could do them, but I'd be wasting all that glorious OD growl )

I had a couple maz 18 Nr models and also the Maz 8. I have had the non master and now have the MV Remedy. Pete summed it up and really hit the nail on the head. I still have my Remedy and no longer have my maz's. Remedy is straight up Marshall type of tone with really great cleans. It also gets really raunchy. The Maz is Fender,Vox, Marshall. Great amp but more Vox and Fender then Marshall. I prefer a more Marshall flavored amp so I have the Ghia and the Reemdy love em both.

What everyone said is spot on...
Both are great amps... The Maz Jr is everything it's cracked up to be. I found that the longer I had mine I discovered how complex that little bugger was. For small venues it perfect and very pedal friendly..
The Remedy to me is still new but I've found it has more balls to the wall tone. Cleans up fairly well with a little chime on the high notes when the guitar volumes rolled back.
Good luck, you can't go wrong with either one!
