(got the UK bit with your forum name even before I read the post ) That is one mighty rig you have there, and I believe another Z member, benttop (Steve) mostly gigged that very same rig, but in red

Hi Pete, thanks for your welcome mate, I have been a member for about three years. I always enjoy reading members comments and its great seeing all the pics. I have never participated before and thought it was about time I had a say. I don't use the amps all together. I play in a bluesy/rock band ( DEAD CERT ) = Remedy. and a rock and roll band ( THE HARRY SATCHER TRIO ) = Maz. what is amazing about the Remedy is I never really have any need to use any pedals. I'm gonna try it with a bit of slap back delay for the rock and roll set, I've got a feeling it might just do everything and the maz can have a rest. good luck my friend and rock on...trev

^^^ AH I see Trev - a lurker comes out of the shadows! Great to have you share your thoughts mate! The way you photgraphed your rig, I thought you were playing them together teh way Steve did. Funnily enough, I used to play my Z28 / Remedy like you, for different gigs and sounds, but I'm finding the Remedy can do it all! I'm going to convert my Z28 to a 1x10 combo so I can have a small grab and go rig when needed. I don't want the Z28 just gathering dust, but at the moment, the Remedy (with the PPIMV and EQ Bypass mods) is covering every base I need.

Cool rig(s) Zedlover. Re-posting an update I put on TGP: As posted above, I've been in the studio doing some overdubs. We are also re-amping the live tracks we previously recorded. It's my first time recording this way and it's a fun process...lots of choices. Friday I had my trusty '66 Band-Master & 2x12 cab w/ crexs, my Lil Dawg Top Dawg ('based on the '59 Bassman) and the Remedy. We have been mixing and matching amps/speakers so the Rem into the Z 2x10 or the 2x12 or now the Top Dawg's 4x10 - wherever the ohms match. Again, fun stuff. Here is a quick pic: On another note, I forgot the power cable to my Remedy. I realized as I starting setting up in the studio. In a panic I called the Dr Z repair line and left a message. Dr. Z personally called me back within 3mins to let me know if I could use any other pwr cables or if I had to go back to my place to get the cable. NICE! The engineer made a funny and said "Why don't you call Fender and see if Leo calls you back." :rimshot The day after the session I dropped it off to FedEx for the MV mods.

Nice pic, and that all sounds like great fun. sometimes a re-post is good because it brings things back in topic. I put a post on about the ep boost and straight away the good old rocknfrol man replied with a vid of him demonstrating one. as for the DR Z people even though i'm over here in the uk and there is a time delay they always answer my questions a.s.a.p. I reckon all these amps are his babies, we just adopt them and he always likes to make sure they are being properly cared for, and his friendly back up policy is THE most important part of a successful business. ok z friends enough of that....rock on boys....

As of today my Rem will have been at the good Doctor's place for a week getting a MV.
The waiting is killing me lol.

My amp got back from the good Dr. and got a facelift....in the form of the MV mods. I also got the EQ bypass mods. This really is a game changer for this amp - I can see why it's not an option for any new Remedy since you can just dime the MV and adjust the other two vols to taste. Big Plexi crunch from you amp at very low, manageable volumes. I agree with everyone who has said the EQ BP is like another channel on the amp. Pretty sure I'm going to remove some dirt off my board as a result of these mods. Really great stuff.

I'm going to post an update on my thoughts on the mods after doing a number of gigs with it.
What I really like about this mod is that allows me to take this amp anywhere....but not for the reason you think.
Yes the MV allows you to use the amp in different sized rooms....but with my main gig I use more of a clean platform and I need that clean tone as a base. For that, I put the vols at or below noon and get the MV to a higher setting depending on the vol needed.
For more of a pure rock gig with less need of a clean tone: push those vols higher to get the natural break up and use a lower MV setting.
Also this is MUCH better for the studio so I can get the break up without losing my hearing completely. ;-)
Good times!
