Well, I forgot to take pics of my rig on the outdoor stage I was on yesterday, so these will have to do. We played a local festival called River Front Roar yesterday. I was interesting because this year the speed boat races were canceled due to the heavy rains we have had the last few weeks which caused high river levels and debris. Despite the fact that the races were canceled, the rest of the festivities still went on. I took my Antidote rig and a few guitars pictured below. The Antidote was set just like this, in modern mode: I ran it through this 4x12 Marshall Cab with Greenbacks: These two guitars: Linus is the Guard Cat lookin after my Les Paul: The Antidote with the Greenbacks absolutely Rocked! I ran the EQ bypass for my solos and the needed grit. Being able to crank it up a little really showed how rockin this amp is. It is a very versitile amp, but as it is turned up it is pure rock n roll tone. One other thing I learned, and I don't know why I didn't realize, but the presence control is still active when the EQ is bypassed. I felt like I really had it all dialed in yesterday.

That bass looks awfully high! 4x12s must help tame it a bit!

Running the EQ higher seems to tame the amount of boost from the EQ bypass. I have not had that 4x12 very long. I thought it would be a very bassy cab being closed, but I was surprised at the fact that it was actually quite bright.

I love the colour of that tele Thanks! That guitar was built by a local shop. They did an excelent job. It is my go to guitar. I wanted a color that looked like it could have been from the 60s. My wife really likes that color too, she helped select it.

Running the EQ higher seems to tame the amount of boost from the EQ bypass. Exactly! Same for the Remedy and MAZ(s): if you find there's too much volume difference when hitting the bypass, try pushing all the tone knobs higher. These amps have subtractive/passive eq, so you restore more of the amp's gain by upping the knobs. That's the reason the eq bypass roars

A presence control is actually part of the power amp, not the eq.
I'm sure I'll screw this up but:
The presence control it a tap off of the power transformer that brings some signal back to just before the phase inverter. (The negative feedback loop)
There, I have just exhausted my knowledge of tube amps.
I bet that 4x12 greenback cab was awesome! I'd still like to A/B a Remedy and Antidote.

I'd still like to A/B a Remedy and Antidote. We should do that, John. I've got one of each. We can even throw an SRZ 65 into the mix, while we're at it.
