Today the Big Brown Truck delivered a brand spankin new Remedy (Black). I already had a 1x12 convertible cab loaded with a creamback waiting patiently.
First impressions. I set the tone stack at high noon and messed around with the volumes. I used my esquire first. That's my current buzz saw. I played a bunch of cool rhythm chops with some noodling in between. Very tight low end with some nice breakup and good note clarity.
I plugged in my Strat next and gave it a little more juice. All 5 positions sounded great. Total tonal bliss. I always like a hint of reverb but I didn't miss it at all. Also, I kicked in the Boost pedal just to give it a try... dammm
I may have it out weds night for a live run thru... If so I'll run the Iphone camera for some live shots!

Congrats, Danny. I figured it would be a Rem, Anti or Z-28

A new Remedy in the house is always awesome. I got a question for you, though, Danny—you mentioned your speaker cab is convertible... did you run it open-back, closed-back, or did you try both?

Mark, so far I have run it open back. I'm still in the introduction stages where I'm messing around with different settings. I haven't even used any effects. Just straight in which is pretty darn good. I'll keep you updated. Which are you curious about? Open or Closed?

Which are you curious about? Open or Closed? Just curious whether you've tried both open & closed, and wondering which you prefer, that's all. I have a new creamback & Remedy too, but haven't been able to try the different combinations yet either (only had them both less than 1 week). From various comments I've read so far, it seems that people are happy with it either way, so... can't go wrong, I guess!

Creambacks, semi open cab, mids cranked, bass @ ten, treble @ three, normal volume off, high volume @ two o'clock or higher, plug a Lester in and you're in Zep's heaven... Tons of tone!!
