as an amp I just don't have much (if any) opportunity to gig, I make the mistake of plugging a Strat into it. After not hitting me right for a bit, I took a few days off (nice little lake vacation) from guitars/amps and had made up my mind to unload some stuff, since I'm not in a band anymore, and maybe pick up a nice Collings acoustic. Plugged into the Rem this a.m. and dayum--there it was! Just awesome blues/rock tone, in that moment EXACTLY what I wanted to hear. So, until something demonstrably better comes along, the Rem stays and the Collings will have to wait.

Once you've decided to sell something, NEVER try it once more for old times sake or it's not going anywhere!

I think Z puts pheromones or something in the amps so when they warm up a little, they're irresistible

The only Z I've owned that I just couldn't get along with was the Monza--and I owned two of them at different times. Thinking more and more about adding an M12--the idea of a half-power Z-Wreck is pretty attractive.

^^^ M12 has some similarities to a Z Wreck, but its front end is different (EF86 + active B and T vs 12AX7 + Cut) as is, imo, the gain structure. M12 is a nice amp, to be sure, but a true half-power Z Wreck is a Z Wreck going into an Airbrake

Once you've decided to sell something, NEVER try it once more for old times sake or it's not going anywhere! That certainly applies to Z amps! I've had to apply that principle rigorously a few times.
