Not much talk here about their vintage series........specifically the c12n and the p12n. Anyone using them? Opinions..........

Cheaply made, metallic sound. Too many good options out there for basically the same money. Isn't the P12N like $150? Can buy the Weber version for not much more, and the sonic difference is absolutely night & day. Plus, the new Eminence line is pretty good, too. I'd stay away from the "fake" Jensens if I were you, as they are NOTHING like the originals.
Ok, there's one opinion... Anyone else?

JC is absolutely correct on this.....the Jensen reissues are a waste of money! Ted Weber makes the best speakers available today, IMO! There's two!

Didn't care for the C12N's that came stock in my vicky double deluxe. Harsh, lifeless, and not really a good match for a tweed deluxe IMO. I now have Weber 12A150's (P12N) in it. The P10R's in my vicky bassman were OK but I liked the Weber 10A125's (P10Q) much better in that amp.
I don't think it is in the vintage line but the 100 watt C12K that came stock in my DRRI was my favorite of the Jensen speakers I have owned. I tried that speaker in several amps and cabs before putting it back in the DRRI when I sold the amp. It always sounded balanced with good tone.

Weber makes great speakers, shouldn't have to settle for inferior sound quality.

I have a single 12" greenback in my z28 right now, but,.............seems too dark for my tastes.
Looking for a lower dB rating ( around 98) 12 inch speaker that will have nice sparkle with singles coils.
any suggestions.............probably a weber or an eminence I would think.

The Scumback H75 LHDC HP (65w) is a great speaker in a 1x12 situation.....also built by Ted Weber! If you like more breakup the 30 watt version may be a better choice.
I'm not a huge fan of cone breakup so I prefer the 65w versions. Also Bob Reinhardt sells his own version of a 1265 on his site, the R65,.....also built by Weber.....and he describes it as a cross between a 1265 and a G12H, with about 98db sensitivity. I have both of these drivers in various cabs and I love them both!

I just went and listened to my RI P12q's...I have two in an open back cab...They were a bit clangy at first but have smoothed out...I like them and they are only about $80.00. They break up quick and are not loud but I think they sound great clean and overdriven . I have a number of Weber's too that I love so I'm just not defending a purchase. I think they take a while to break in. That's the Q. No experience with P12n or C12N..

For what its worth, before laying out 150.00 -250.00 for a speaker, check the Eminence sight and see whats out there. I really liked the blue frame 10's in my bassmanRI as opposed to the "new" jensens....world of difference. I use a Tonker in my MAZ38 and love it...great sound and loud..would make a good speaker if one was trying to boost their sound...with the MAZ that is not the case. Just the opposite but the speaker sounds so good that I can live with the volume issues.... I also use beamblockers simple idea that works great....I have no problem spending whatever it takes to get me to where I want to be, however, if that can be avoided thats a good thing...gives me more free $$ for the REAL sickness and we all know what that is! I am impressed and satisfied with the Eminence products, I got mine from Avatar. I have also a couple of ledgends and misc. others some older some newer but actually they all sound pretty damn good for the $$. Sound is subjective so your milage may differ.......
