Michael and I spent some time with it yesterday just fooling around. He played while I turned knobs. General observations: I was suprised by how much difference in volume the half power switch really made. It really felt like the volume was cut in half. Master volume: This is pretty fun to play with actually, I could open up the master volume all the way and and the amp behaved like other Remedy's I have played with. Using the MV with the half power switch and a break lite SA I could really get a lot of different sounds out of the amp. I really liked being able to putz around with multiple ways of controlling the volume. For instance, by turning the MV down low and cranking up the high and low loudness knobs I could get a very hairy, fuzzy, sizzly type overdrive. I didn't care for it actually but when I brought the high and low down a bit, opened up the MV and the went to half power I got a much more usable OD from the amp and the sound would tighten up a bit. I found I was able to control the tone of amp more with the Loudness I and Loudness II than I could with the tone controls. Loudness I (High) adds treble and hair to the signal where Loudness II (Normal) thickens the sound. So by rolling the two controls around you can get a lot of different tones. I tended to open up the Normal to the volume I wanted and then would open up the High knob to get the hair I wanted. Tone by pass is simply amazing. The amp sounds fantastic with this enaged. I am actaully considering leaving the tone by bass on all the time, it sounded that good. final observation for now . . . man, my boys is really coming along as a player, I enjoyed hearing his chops about as much as I enjoyed turning the knobs I'll try and get some video together of some of these different settings so you can hear what I am describing off to church, Todd

Well Todd, you have certainly nailed the tonal aspects of the MV Remedy, especially the way the V I&II alter the tone more than the Tone controls! I start with TM&B at noon, get everything the way I like it, and then maybe do very fine tonal tuning with the TM&B if needed. I find myself playing with the EWQ Bypass engaged a LOT of the time too, especially on our livelier stuff

Just to throw this in....
I've been playing a lot with the Master at about 10:00. I recently had occasion to put it up to about 2:00. (High Vol on 2, Normal Vol on 11). It really does sound better; not dramatically better, but a bit livelier.
The PPIMV is a great addition and it works well. Still, the Remedy really does want to go full bore, and sounds better the closer you can get to it.
