I stuck my Remedy chassis in a studio size combo cab that Mather Cabs made for me. Yes, the writing is upside down but that makes it even cooler:)
Weighs about 40 pounds and sounds really good. Currently running a WGS ET-65 speaker. The 30 watt Weber Legacy also sounded great. I'm keeping the Creamback in the 112 Z convertible cab. The studio cab on top of the 112 Z cab looks impressive.
Going to take it for a spin Saturday night at a small club.

Can you post a big pic in the thread? I can't get it any bigger from your avatar - I REALLY want to see this!

I'd like to mount mine in a 1x12 cab oriented like this: Chassis could mount directly to the back panel, not unlike the Carr Rambler:

Except then all your tubes would be perpendicular to gravity - maybe not ideal for a drop for sure.

Has there been an explanation before why there's no combo option for the Remedy?

Has there been an explanation before why there's no combo option for the Remedy? I think there have been several reasons over the years to be honest: - It's a big amp, so it would be a heavy combo - It's a Marshall Super Lead style amp, so a "stack" is the "right" image - It a powerful amp, so heat is probably an issue (no doubt surfhard will tell us, but my head gets HOT when I gig it) - The Doc probably just doesn't want to do it, as he sees more opportunity elsewhere for low wattage combos (I'm guessing this bit of course!) Just my .02

Just my .02 I did have the Remedy in a 112 Maz combo cab a few years ago and it weighed in a 55 lbs. which is too much for me. The studio cab does seem to have a good bit of ventilation so it should not be much different from the head. Agree that the head is the right image and configuation for the Remedy.... and it does sound better through the 112 Z convertable cab. This was just a little experiment for fun. I doubt I will keep it this way although I might turn the studio combo cab into an extension cabinet. The Remedy head fits perfectly on top.

^^^ It sure is fun to experiment with this stuff though, isn't it?? Have to say, I am in love with my blonde Rem and 1x12 pairing though - they look so damn cool together! and much lighter to carry individually
