Hey Rick,
I've got a wizard in a Jdesign cab. I love it with my Z stuff. It's good and flat with just the right amount of mids. Give me a call on Monday at GT and we can talk about it more if you like.

Sam, Many thanks! I was speaking with Alf from Hermida at NAMM. He spent several hours listening at the Eminence booth and really loved the Wizard over all the rest. Thanks for all your help Sam! Rick

I use it with my ghia and my Stingray. It works great with the Ghia. It's pretty good with the Ray but the Ray just likes Celestion blues a little more.

The Wizard is quite a bit louder than the other Red Coats, so I can see why it would stand out amongst the background noise of a NAMM show. I'm thinking about a pair of Red Fangs in a 2x12" for my Route 66 now, we'll see. When listening to the sound clips on the Eminence website, I've noticed that the Red Fang sounds like it's already mixed in a track..... so I have a feeling that guitar tracks recorded through it will have the potential to sit really nicely in a mix. Less eq'ing at mix time would be a definite plus.
I was also considering the Tonespotter and Cannibis Rex, but now I'm leaning towards the Red Fang(s). Regarding the Wizard, one of the Harmony Central reviewers uses a four-letter word (starting with "f") to describe how great this speaker mixes with other speakers. This reviewer said that two Wizards sounded too hi-fi, but mixed with a Celestion or something it's fantastic.

+1 for the Wizard. Great all around speaker and it handles 75 watts, so it can handle higher wattage amps in a 1x12 config
