I can't remember the exact speaker I'm using in my 1x12 convertible cab right now (I know it's a WGS though, I'll check when I get home), but I'd like to find something that will help me clean up a bit more when I turn down and have a little more brightness and chime. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I was on a similar quest when I owned a Route 66. I liked the Celestion Gold with it quite a bit. I still wanted more chime, but the Gold brought out more high end detail than the C-Rex I was using before.
You may also consider using a good treble booster that can stay cleaner like the Lumpy's Brilliance Boost or a dynamic EQ like the Bearfoot Sea Blue EQ. I liked the Diamon Compressor at very low comp settings with my RT 66 too for added chime.

I have a WGS G12A alnico in the same cab. I've tried a WGS ET-65 and a Celestion Gold in there as well, and the G12A was the clear choice for me; cleaner and tighter in the low end than either of those, and has the alnico chime up top.

Thanks for the tips guys. Digited, I've been running a Super Hard On clean boost which does help add a little sparkle but also pushes it a bit more. I'll try to get my hands on a WGS G12A though, as I'm pretty sure I've got an ET-65 in there now.
All in all I think the Z-28 might be more of my styling, but I'm going to try to work through it with the Rt. 66 because the overdrive is just so sweet and thick.

The guy that runs WGS's website blog described the ET-65 as one of their "warmest" sounding speakers...so you may have a problem with getting the sparkle with that one. The Gold sounded good to me too, and has top-end chime, but wasn't quite as clean in the low end as I like.

Try a Gold or a G12H30. A high end speaker cable will help, too. The best is the van den Hul Inspiration Hybrid (available from Lava Cable). Expensive but worth it.

You might try an Xotic RC pedal. I've had mine for years and you can turn up the treble and bass and get some good cleans. The attached link was about the VVR scaling I did but the RC is on - adds sparkle. The speakers in this rig - G1265 & a similar Scumback.
