UPS man just delivered my brand new Remedy!!!! Gotta say, I am floored!!! Tone is amazing. I am getting a really squishy, rubber gain with tons of sustain but it is impossibly clean at the same time.
This thing is every bit as loud as my 1959 SLP into a 4x12.
Very easy to dial in great tones! Ears are ringing, may need to add the PPIMV at some point.
Phenomenal amp!!!

That's a great review ~ congrats on your new amp and welcome to the forum. I may break down and get the new mods done as well as you and others have mentioned but I just have so much fun with it as is ~ can't imagine it being THAT MUCH BETTER! The Doc certainly knows what he is doing.

so you get nice gain with the master volume? I have a marshall power brake and it destroys the high end if you attenuate too much. Definitely gonna have to save up and send the amp to DR Z for the master volume.

Welcome and congrats on the amp. DR Z Brake Lite attenuator also works well to tame the beast. But it's probably worth the extra $ for the master volume and EQ bypass mods compared to the price of the BL.

My upgraded Remedy should be ready any day now.......... .... can't wait!! To answer the questions above, IMHO the Remedy handles the Brake Lite better than any other Z amp I'v e owned - I found it didn't strangle the tone, even on 4 clicks, the way it does on say a Z28 or a Ghia. That being said, I can hardly imagine how mush better the PPMIV and EQ Bypass will sound

I could hear the tone being sucked away with the Air Brake, unless it was only on 1, 2, or 3 clicks - but it was still way too loud for my apartment at those levels. The MV sounds a little squashed to me until about 10:00 - but it's AMAZING from there on and is quieter than the Air Brake. Awesome upgrade and would highly suggest the new Remedy version for anyone who doesn't have a Remedy. It's the best and most versatile Plexi style amp EVER!!

^^^^^^^^ I totally agree aeromonte the MV is very smooth and really works much better then any attenuator. They all suck tone but the MV does not.
