they always seem like a great idea on EL84's but they always rattle and ring in my amps. I'm probably the exception, but I take em out.

The clip style ones like the Doc uses can rattle. If you put a silicone tube dampener or two on them and THEN fit the tube retainer over the tube, they won't rattle. 12AX7 tubes will stay put without retainer fine, but EL84's usually aren't tight enough in their sockets to stay put during a car ride to the gig.

There's always these www.tubesandmore.com/products/S-H145 , however I can't speak to how they would clip on the ring around the base of the tube socket. I'm thinking the holes would be too small for the clip. I would go with what Eddie said, you are going to want the dampeners anyway.
